Homework is given out on a Friday and expected back into school by the following Wednesday and your children should try to complete the homework independently to the best of their ability, as this will be good preparation for secondary school.  Children in Year 6 will be given 2.5 hours homework a week. This will include Maths, English and a more creative activity as well as Times Tables Rockstars. We also expect the children to read daily - We both love to read and are always happy to help with book suggestions if you are stuck!

This year, we will be setting a project-based homework every 6 weeks. There will be a focus for the activity, but the children will need to research and produce their work independently. This will help them to develop their own skills of organisation over an extended period.
