Gathering Data
In Science this term, Class 5 have taken on the challenge of forming a Kitchen Committee. They are carrying out various investigations to help decide what materials it would be best to use when equipping the kitchen with everything that is needed. So far, we have tried to work out which materials would be best for food preparations and have most recently turned our focus to insulators. We carried out an investigation to try and find out which materials make the best thermal insulators and will keep all the lovely hot food and drinks warm. We have also investigated which food wrappings are best, in terms of strength and flexibility. Would it be better to wrap and transport food produce in paper, card or foil? Once we've carried out a few more investigations we'll be able to report back on all our findings, so please watch this space!
